Home-visit Music Therapy

Home-visits

Our therapists can travel to your home for music therapy sessions. We will provide instruments, visual cards, learning tools…and more.

Familiarty in the home

For some children, being in a familiar home environment can maximise feelings of comfort and confidence. This increases their capacity to engage actively in music therapy activities and develop rapport with the music therapist.

Accessibility

Music therapy in the home increases a child’s access to our music therapy services, as attending sessions in the clinic may be difficult due to work or other care taking-related arrangements.

Involvement of family members

If appropriate, siblings, parents or carers can become actively involved in the music therapy sessions. The therapist can structure meaningful therapeutic activities that enable the child to engage in positive and successful musical interactions with people closest to them in their daily lives.
