Early Childhood Group
Music Makers
Music Makers is a small group program co-facilitated by one of our skilled music therapists The group focuses on upskilling parents/carers to use music to support children’s development. Young children are not expected to remain focused for the entire session, as the group aims to build on their attentional capacity through tapping into their enjoyment of listening/singing/moving to music and playing instruments.
The group is suitable for children who are able to engage with others but have difficulties or delays in verbal communication. It is also suitable for busy children who seek out a lot of movement, or sensory stimulation.
School-aged Group
Sing Together
Sing Together is a small group program co-facilitated by one of our skilled music therapists. The group focuses on peer interaction and social skills in a supportive group context. The group is suitable for children who have difficulties interacting with peers and/or developing peer relationships.
In this program, the group will engage in instrumental play (drumming), singing familiar songs, and music-based discussions. The songs sung/shared will be based on choices of each participants in the group, and will be changed every term. We highly value empowering children with the ability to choose songs and share their thoughts!
